When you ring the bell of flat no. 2*0(privacy very important :P) , u will hear some ferocious barking , some scratching and banging of the main door, you will recheck the address you have , and that written on the door, count the number of floors you have climbed, question the numbering system of my building , i will come to answer the bell - along with a ball of fur . Yes I have a dog now , visitors beware - of the excessive licking of your feet that will follow along with the demands for attention by our little , no actually a little fatso Snowy .
There are dogs and there are dogs , but we still call them dogs right ? Not our Snowy , calling him a dog actually , actually feels like we are abusing him :O you ask why ? I tell you why -
* He has eyes like that of a deer.
* He is as white as snow and wears a coat as red as blood. He is yet to meet his dwarfs though.
* He has had a single love interest , which went in vain , he hasn't even looked at another bitch since (feels so good to use this word without getting a few eyebrows raised ) .
* He is always ready for a duel with the only other dog in my building - a doberman - twice the size of Snowy. This proves that he has an inflated sense of self , found very commonly in a particular sex of one other species :P
*He is extremely jealous of a soft toy named Tuffy and is on a constant look out to destroy it.
* He barks whenever we say the word "watchman" either telling us that he is one or defying his being a dog so completely as to hate the word watchman itself.
*He will not eat until cajoled, patted and ran after even if he has been hungry for the entire day.
A pet can change your life in ways you never imagined . Mine did and I hope I never have to be without a pet ever .

What Changed
Yes I am back - a little wiser, a lot dumber , clueless as ever . What I did these two and a half years - no didn't get a chance to watch two and a half men , yes learnt to crack PJ's , broke some beliefs, formed few new ones , still (Amitabh Bacchan style) angry with God .
And turned twenty and five . I know !!
Something borrowed:
I have a new pet now , its not mine but I wish it was . I never knew that I could love an animal so much , but I do , I do .
The huge collection of dresses that I have never worn stacking up in my almirah , just like Andy's toys waiting and waiting.
Something blue:
Gained a few kgs. Wasnt this what all of you wanted me to do ? Then why in heaven's name did you girls join gyms and become thin .. in front of my very eyes .. all this while i was so trustingly hogging cheese spread and mayonnaise . Like I said karma is a bitch.
Something old:
Bangalore :) it is still the one I love, forever and for always .
My addiction for TV series and hollywood movies . I have turned to more soul searching types - i.e chick-flicks.
The rise and the rise of the price of petrol.
Morons - they have a new name now - workaholics.
Something new :
Apple made an Ad saying - if u don't have an Iphone you dont have a life , got into controversies and changed it to some dumb recursive logic stating - If U dont have an Iphone, You don't have an iphone. Well I dont have an Iphone but I did have a very active facebook account(the next best thing to iphone somehow) , which I deleted, sorry deactivated, today. So basically I dont have a life (half life perhaps ? I cudnt find any unicorn to slay though) anymore.
An Anna Hazare fought for some Anti - corruption bill , won and lost , became Anti-Baazigar and earned the coveted position of the new-ghandhi. Swami Ramdev showed that yoga does not cure jealously.
Aishwarya rai gave birth to a girl at thirty-eight (yay !).Hope she gets her looks and brains , wishing the same for any boys she gives birth to too .
Obama won a Nobel peace award , and I didn't - life is really unfair.
India Won the World Cup - it DID . No jokes here . Music, cricket and food thats all we have got .
Kingfisher went bankrupt. I still love their theme tune though - ulla la la le oo la la la ee oo . Wonder what will guys look forward to now while boarding our Air-india flights.
And I use Kajal now. Not the actresses Kajal , but of course you got that !!
Well that was the "Something borrowed , something blue , something old and something new" in my life , and a little around me. Though for almost four of my best friends this will be the year they tie the knot . Me ? I will continue to mock the wrong side of twenty-five and look twenty-one always.

No reasons at all....
* Getting to watch a not seen before episode of FRIENDS despite of watching it thrice over...
* Meeting an old friend and sharing a secret laughter...
* Making new friends and discovering that they love the same book as you
* Drinking water after consuming 4 cups of caffeine
* Seeing 10 miss calls of real people on ur cell(by real people it was meant non-advertisement calls)
* Splurging money on something just because you find it cute.. ;)
* When a particular smell takes you down the memory lane and when a song reminds you of a long forgotten event that took place at a certain time while that song played
* An acquaintance telling you how sensible you are and your friends swearing on more than its opposite...
* The feeling when you go home after a long time or just the anticipation of it..
* SHOPPING !!
* Finding a reprint edition of a long wished very "out-of-your meager-pocket-range" novel...
* Sleeping after a long and exhausting journey...
-- and somebody said "all good things in life are free"...

Bangalore Diary 2 : No matter how busy, sick, tried, engaged i am ,i vl always be ready for it
There are a few places in India that can truly be called Shopper's Paradise. janpath in Delhi, kullu market in himachal pradesh, chor bazar(that reminds me of chor bazari song in love aaj kal-simoply awesome) in mumbai,Johari bazar in Jaipur,Park street in kolkatta(i hope i have spelled it right- i know too many kolkattans by now to know that this can be a grave unforgivable mistake),Bara Bazar in shillong and so many others little known but great places..having seen and shopped in all these places and more i was a little less than keen on shopping in Bangalore..mostly because it has a greater mall culture than any other place and the brands u can get in any mall in any place(or so i thought)..but i was more than pleasantly surprised when i actually ventured to explore the city for places where i can shed some of the little cash i had(notice the past tense :P )..
My first sting was needless to say with the much hyped malls of Bengaluru - Forum,Garuda,Central,Lifestyle,Shoppers Stop- i dragged my poor cousin to all of these in a span of 24 hrs and even he got hooked to them at the end and actually shopped more than i did .. as a side note i liked forum the best basically coz it had Landmark(book lovers would know that they can spend their entire life there aka the "young man" in The Bet hopefully without going thru the complete metamorphosis of irreversible detachment..I liked Shoppers Stop next..great prices , cool brands..and a CCD..well enough on malls now, i am sure the elite personage reading this would know more about brands than i ever will(about brand awareness-reminds me to advise u to read how opal mehta got kissed.. vl make u a guru before u reach halfway through it)..
i had this opportunity of visiting the JayaNagar complex, had a pretty good combination of local and international stuff..worth a visit if u have to shop for bags, junk jewellery, casual footwear
and also if u want to experience that special flavour of being in a southern city..the golgappe there are good and do try the ice-gola guaranteed to take your fatigue(from the incessant shopping) away..
For having a taste of the "metropolitan" bangalore a walk through the brigade raod is a must..here u will see it all-immaculately dressed girls(:P),Planet M(only one person can understand y i mentioned it out of a hundread brands on display there),more brands than seen in even all the malls of gurgaon combined,a colorful ambiance, great eateries and prices that can be afforded only when its "Aaj pheli taariq hai"..
Commercial Street is a place to be if u have to do some heavy duty purchasing of clothes..i can bet a year in captivity in landmark that you will be laden will bags before u could cross even one fourth of the street, saaries, kurtis, suit pieces, tops, jeans - u vl get them all in styles u have wanted all along so easily that it actually takes some of the fun out of shopping.. :P.. do worth a visit even if u don't have to shop at all..coz u vl anyways do it..

Bangalore diary 1
I had been to this place twice before so i wasnt expecting a marvel while coming here..there are a lot of places like this, true..but this place has an uncanny ability to make u feel as if u belong here..it makes u feel the power of human creation and innovation..trust me ..u have to be here to feel this overpowring sense of well being..blore is not just the malls..neither its just the parks..the call of this city goes to a more visceral level..u can see a little of urself everywhere..the clouds when they come down to greet u .. when the little child down the street smiles at u and says something in a language alien to u but still u feel that connection..when u switch on the radioand hear hindi songs playing..little insignificant things..but those are that touch the strings somewhere and makes u want to make this place ur home...
Slumber
Like players have warm up sessions after a big match..likewise this is purely intended to be a warming up to blogging again blog .. i dont know the reasons behind my long absentism..maybe i have been busy but mostly i had too much going on in my life to find time to write it out..incidentally after joing here i find that i can resume my much wanted-to-be developed hobby..ya thats it..thats enough..a bangalore diary vl shortly follow..

Back In Time
I pressed the trigger and zap…I was transported to the i-don’t-know-what century BC…
Here the rules for falling in love are a wee bit different..you would contradict that there are actually no rules for falling in love ya you live in today but back then there were rules or should I say “people” thought that you were committed when any one of the following happened-
1. You grab a cup of coffee(ya coffee has been in existence for centuries) with a guy from your gurukul. Ohh yes that’s all it takes for you to be madly in love with the one you are drinking coffee with.
Or
2. You go on a chariot ride to the local market with a friend of yours who happens to be a guy and ohh my…it became the latest buzz of the town…things ought to be serious if you can go shopping with a guy.hey what did u say- you are just friends…:haha(ooops you wont know it its an invention of our century- it means rolling on the floor with laughter)…
Or
3. You are supposed to be happy with the bundle of friends of your own sex that you come to know..what !! you actually like to talk to guys … just tell me what kind of a girl you are .. have u no morals…what the hell is wrong with you..
Or
4. You have a best friend who is a guy…who are you kidding girl..tell me when is the red letter day…are we all invited?? Definetly we are , it was after all us who made you believe that a guy and a girl cannot be friends for more than a month…
Or
5. Hey hey … do u think we don’t know anything about love…and where did u read the crap you are talking about – you say that love doesn’t grow out of drinking coffees,or shopping, or talking rather its something you experience probably once or if u are unlucky and then lucky again then maybe twice in a lifetime(did u time travel and watch kuch kuch hota hai)..no my dear you are in love when we see you hanging out with your friend..and hey what are you doing girl..how could you even talk to some other guy when we are so sure that you are commited to the one we saw you going shopping with…seriously what kind of a girl you are…
Horrified I pressed the trigger to transport me back to my time…but hey the time machine was a hoax…I hadn’t gone anywhere back in time…
