If Only
“.Its the same with every life…Imagine one selected day struck out of it, and think how different its course would have been .Pause you who read this, and think for a moment of the long chain of iron or gold, of thorns or flowers, that would never have bound you, but for the formation of the link on one memorable day”…
Hmm does it ring a bell…maybe those who were not too immersed in differential equations and theory of relativity to care a tad bout the English course in their senior secondary would remember having studied these unforgettable lines by Dickens …
Don’t really know y I am writing this…maybe because the significance of these words strike me again and again in my humdrum course of events called life…
Maybe we are perpetually standing at a crossroad and its our own discretion which road to take-that life is actually a ‘need for speed’ drive where making the right turns to avoid the collisions makes u the winner.
Ever regretted not being able to attend that crucial call on that fateful day ,not being present in school when u were going to be awarded an important charge, screwing up that test, answering back when u should have done well keeping your mouth shut, punishing a best friend for something she didn’t have the power to avoid, not trusting your instinct, following your scheming head instead of ur heart, avoiding a dream for the fear of losing it, not speaking up when u had to…the list can go on.
Here is something surprising, I may have well enumerated so many incidents, I regret none of them –I only wonder…..
I might have been studying fashion designing instead of software engineering, may have gone to become an author if I cud have grabbed that job of the editor of school magazine ,would have faced that best friend looking in her eyes, would have had that one thing I desired most….I can only wonder…if only…

Ohh.. I never knew that you blogged too.. Before commenting on the two write ups I'll apologise for being late.
There is something far more superior than writing with flair..That something is what you have done in these two articles [ I don't mean they lack elegance ]...Both of them have been written from the heart.. Honestly speaking.. it had been long since I had read someone writing their hearts out..
I remember that quote from Great Expectations even though I like differential equations.. and you wrote well 4 years ago too..[:)]
And a query???? Do you really have a daughter?? what age? [;)]
straight frm heart... left me wonderin for sumtym with a song buzzin in my mind sayin "jaane kya chaahe mann bawra". nicely written.... :) ....
